“AGING”
It’s nothing out of the ordinary
But the ordinary is bad enough
Moving is getting harder
And Life is getting tough
People think I’m senile
Just because I’m gray
I’m ignored at gatherings
What would I have to say?
Young ones rush pass me
Too impatient to calmly wait
I’m quite slow and lumbering
In my aging declining state
Look at the meager way I dress
With bargains sought galore
Who has money to pay full price
For new things at a store
Let me tell you something
Though you don't notice me
I still matter in this world
And damn your opinion be
I gave a lot in many ways
At home and work for years
It made me stronger than you know
So you won’t see my tears
Go your way as I go mine
Declare this life a win
With all its got to take and give
No life is an ordinary spin

“IF I DIE ALONE – A Drug Addicts Fate”
If I die alone my fate declared
Hate and anger neither spared
Misunderstood and cared for not
Good intentions spread among the rot
No one knows how others see
Love so lost a heart can’t be
Life so hardened by tragic tries
Eyes burnt out from horrid cries
Blind and feared forever more
The cruelty born and kept in store
Passed on from there and back to here
Passed on to steal the ones most dear
Forgiveness is so dead and gone
There is no hope for it’s moved on
Breathing yet no life exists
Despair and pain still persist
What gate for me will I cross
Through swamp or rock or bitter frost?
My steps betray me as I go
With sin and shame in dire tow
God, my will took life reborn
And buried it beneath such scorn
I shall die with sadness wise
Lone and lost whom all despise
